In this video we discuss implications of euclidean division for polynomials over a field. We also define irreducible polynomials and we then show that given a polynomial f with coefficients in K it is possible to construct a new field K' such that it contains a copy of K and also, a root for f. This construction is carried out with the use of equivalence relations compatible with the ring operations.
