Watch out when searching for morels. There’s a couple species that look extremely similar but could land you in the hospital or worse when consumed. Only pick morels if you know what you’re doing and can differentiate from the false ones.

Morels are super popular where I’m at in Indiana, got a big state park and wilderness around here. Morels are truly delicious 😋

"Number 5" : Wild garlic.
Stinging nettle, you can plant in your garden, and cut the head many times during summer, making excellent nutritious addition to any meal. Also can be dried and powdered for multivitamin/protein/minerals supplement for winter. Mature plants can be put in water for couple weeks to make an extremely good fertilizer too.

I love stinging, nettle, and tea or greens. Save my life when I didn’t have any food as a kid I had plenty of stinging nettle and it’s actually really good for asthma and your joints still.

Back in kindergarten we made stinging nettle tea! We all went searching for it and even got show how to not get stung by them. It was so fun and definetly a good experience. Here in germany these grow LITERALY everywhere

In the spring to summer time I go out with a bag and gloves to collect stinging nettles and my mom then makes amazing nettle soup 😋

Fiddleheads are so numerous and popular where I'm from that the local government puts road signs up so people can find them

Btw, there is also a fake moral which is poisonous. Real morals are yellow or tan, while false ones are purple, red and brown. Stay safe!

Fiddleheads are pretty common in my area! The locals love to pick and sauté them. They aren’t my personal favorite, but everyone else says they’re delicious!

Carefull too with the "urtica dioca" if you don't hold it well you'll get stringed and it's pretty easy to do so(also their fibers make good natural cordage-- a bushcraft tip )
