NOTIFICATION SQUAD! It's me, ya boy. Which bass was your favorite? I definitely had one but you'll have to guess which it was!

The Spector has a unique sound, I like it. It does not mean it sound the best, it's just a different "color", very surprising.

The Squire Bronco sounded surprisingly nice! Warwick Corvette STD was my favorite overall.

The Squier Bronco always surprises me. It honestly has its own thing going on and sounds very good.

What a great idea!

A few observations: 1. the Squire Bronco really pops to my ears, probably the least expensive bass in the video, 2. What really seems to impact Bass tone is not the bass itself. I have found that tone settings and strings in addition to our fingers make the greatest impact. 3. After a lifetime of working on it, I’m finally getting close to what I want to hear from my rig. Two crucial elements: Sansamp bass drive, contoured or smiley EQ, great bright stings. I used Stringjoy rounds on a fender precision last night and LOVED it. I’m currently using a Rumble 500 head and either one or two single 15” with horn cabs. Beautiful, light, and affordable!

Thanks for posting this! ❤️

For those out there in youtube land commenting we didn't have your favorite bass - we just used basses we had on hand between us for this one. We are always working to expand the roster and get access to more instruments - whether purchased, on loan for review, or borrowed from friends, etc. - so stay tuned and we might have your jam featured next time.

All the Gibsons sounded great, with the Thunderbird clearly taking the competition, to my ears, and to my surprise.

That steampunk bass was awesome as hell. The sound is almost rubbery and I love it so much

Not sure I was ready for an up-tempo version of Sittin’ On The Dock Of The Bay, but still love the video!

Excellent video. They all sound great, and probably shows you need to try out a bass before buying. The Gibson Grabber was the most different, had a unique growl to it. Absolutely loved the sound of all the Warwicks, but for some reason I’ve never really enjoyed playing them as much as other brands.
The guitar / bass sounded out of place. The Fender at 1:07 sounded like it could do with a set up.

So happy to see him back on the channel and great job on this y'all! As someone that really dislikes the EB-0 and Eb-3, is it gross that I thought the Gibson SG Bass REALLY stood out for me?

Be nice to see some like this where the bass and player stay the same, but the pickups are different.

I'm not surprised that I liked the Fender Jazz Bass (instrument #2) best. I was surprised at how good the Harley Benton StingRay 5 clone sounded. I'm also not surprised I liked the Warwick Corvette Standard (I own a Custom Shop Corvette Proline), but I was surprised that I liked the passive J-J Corvette better than the Corvette $$ (maybe that was because of the series mode?). Another pleasant surprise was the Harley Benton Bass VI clone, although that's a different sort of beast.

One of the most informative bass videos I’ve ever seen. Great concept and could be scaled up … if you ever dad the time!
