As an ex hindu, most hindu's, just ignore the fact that I am an atheist or don't make a big deal out of it. Ex Moslems don’t leave islam alone because when you leave it - it doesn’t leave you alone. You lose your friends, family, face violence, ridicule & never ending questions about why. Furthermore, most left because of how disturbing they come to release Islam is & wish to speak out about that & to give others, frightened to leave, the confidence to do so by showing them they are not alone. 100% correct. When I left Christianity, my folks just said that they didn't agree with my decision, but that they still loved me and accepted my choice. If this has ever happened in an Islamic context, it's extremely rare and against Islamic law and tradition. Ex-Muslims band together for protection and to fight oppression. Generally, people who leave other religions are lucky enough not to need to do that.
