In this video, we're going to learn how to calculate the load-carrying capacity of a column. The axial load-carrying capacity of the column formula
Pu = 0.4fck.Ac + 0.67fy.Asc
as per IS code 456-2000
Where
Pu = ultimate axial load carrying capacity of the column
fck = characteristics of the comprehensive strength of concrete which is given
Ac = area of concrete in the column.
Asc = area of Steel in the column.
Fy = Grade of steel
This video is important for those who are interested in designing RCC columns for structural applications. By understanding how to calculate the load-carrying capacity of a column, you'll be able to make informed decisions about the structural load that the column can handle.
