Synthetic Brushes Friday Mark-making 2

For the next few weeks, every Friday I'll be showcasing a different type of brush and explaining how to use it. Today, we're starting with Synthetic bristle brushes!

Synthetic brushes are a great all round brush for watercolour, gouache or acrylics. Synthetic bristles don’t tend to be as soft as natural bristles but are often a more affordable alternative. If you plan to use them for watercolours then take time to find the softest brushes you can.
You can also find synthetic and natural bristle mix, a great half way in cost and softness. Giving you good absorbency and capacity to hold more liquid than synthetic only brushes.

Grab your brush, some watercolour paper, and your favourite paint. Fill a page and see how many marks you can create with just one brush.
