The scene in Milo and Otis where Otis is rescuing Milo from the pit used to always crack me up when I was a kid, but now that I am older, it usually makes me cry. I started to listen to this, and I start welling up whenever the main theme is played.

What a great march this was one of the often-played favourites of HM Royal Marines Portsmouth Group Band (The Royal Yacht Band) way back in the early 1960's
always a rousing march for onlookers and crowds at Wembley Cup Finals, the Lord Mayors Show in London, The Royal Tournament at Earls Court, as were other iconic marches such as National Emblem, El Capitan, Glorious Victory, Imperial Echoes, Stars & Stripes Forever, Captain General, the Bond of Friendship, and others.

I played the bass clarinet in high school band and I loved Sousa's marches. The score called for the bass clarinet to sometimes play the melody line and sometimes to play the base line, but the best was when the score called to play the counter melody.

Playing in eighth grade for Winter Concert. As a euphonium player, this song is easily our part's hardest.

Tribute to my grandpa Wayne a Marine who fought at Guadalcanal in 1942 just weeks after the Pearl Harbor attack. He was one tough warrior.

The beginning few measures are *INSANELY DIFFICULT ON A TROMBONE.* They'll be calling me thunder-slide all year....

The first day after 9-11 that they had MLB, I decided on a whim to go see a game. Got lucky with traffic, parking, and was even able to buy a ticket on the street. Not only was I lucky that it was a real ticket, it was even my favorite area; nose bleed, 1st base line. I had my cassette player with me and listened to John Philip Sousa the entire game. It was a player that would play continually or automatic rewind. This was one of my favorite marches on that tape, and I think it's greatly under-rated.

This was my high school band march sophomore year. We did competition with this song in 2012. So to hear this on the Florida’s natural commercial brings me back 😭😭😭
