The dynamic between Moon & Eclipsa is basically like that of a Comedy Duo, with Moon as the Straight-Man and Eclipsa as the Goof-Ball.

In fact, the 300th anniversary of the eclipse froze was when Moon was 16 years old. I think Moon is 40 when they beat Toffee. So in my opinion, the eclipse was crystallized in 324 years.

Years later, I think I figured out why Shawn (or Sean) backed off: It says no magic/magical artifacts but Moon was all magic which would be pointless to scan her down since she is magic and can't really get rid of it.

So I completed this show a long while ago and I just want to give my two cents on Eclipsa and her character.

So, when SVTFOE was in its prime, I saw a lot of Eclipsa defenders, and I certainly one of them (and I still am? To a certain extent now anyway)

So, is Eclipsa evil?

Well, yes and no.

Eclipsa was right for not looking down upon monsters, she definitely isn’t a prejudice person, but the one thing I see being swept under the rug is that she married a SERIAL KILLER.

Now listen, I love Globgor, but I hate how very few people register the fact that he is literally a murderer.

Now, I do believe that the hate the monsters (overall) received was unjustified, but I do not blame the mewmans or the high council hating Globgor especially, and being outraged that Eclipsa married him.

To be fair though, I feel like the MAIN reason why the high council hated Globgor was because he was solely a monster (not the fact that he was a serial killer, but they definitely still did hate him for this reason also)

It’s stated in the show that Globgor stopped eating mewmans around the time he met Eclipsa/started to date her, but before that, it’s clear he was eating mewmans daily.

Think of it like this: Globgor joked in an episode that he used to get so many rocks stuck in his teeth for eating miners. Those miners could have had families, friends, someone who cared about them, but they were killed and EATEN by Globgor.

And I know one could argue that Globgor possibly needed to eat mewmans to live, but he didn’t! It’s clear that he was fine being a vegetarian, so there was no reason for him to actually kill and eat mewmans rather than for his own selfishness.

Eclipsa dating and marrying somebody like that definitely does say a lot about her (of course in all fairness, it’s not like Eclipsa agreed with him eating mewmans, but it’s just the fact that he’s still a serial killer regardless and Eclipsa still got with him).

Also, Eclipsa was a QUEEN of mewmans. It’s very clear the Butterfly queens/family are held in very high regard and as royalty, the mewmans obviously have high expectations of their rulers, so imagine the betrayal when they realised that their queen married a notorious serial killer.

Eclipsa also when it came to her queenly duties, she just isn’t a good ruler I can’t lie. Even though she had good plans (like having mewmans and monsters make peace with one another) she just didn’t rule well (I mean, when she was a ruler, just look at the state of the mewmans and the monsters too, they aren’t really taken care of well).

So it’s clear that Eclipsa is very selfish and honestly, immature, and also insane for marrying a serial killer (yes, I’m aware Globgor changed, but he still murdered innocent mewmans regardless)

I just really hate how the writers had to make excuses for Eclipsa and just say that “she’s just an innocent lady who fell in love!” Like no? She fell in love with a notorious serial killer who ate mewmans and she is a very neglectful leader who betrayed her people.

Eclipsa is a MORALLY GREY character. She is not evil evil, but she’s certainly not good either.

Eclipsa is such a morally upright character, to hold no grudges for what she's been put through is remarkable.
