About 8,000 people are crammed into a space meant for just 3,000 at the Moria refugee camp in Greece's Lesvos Island. And the situation is dire.

I was there 2 years ago when the deal went through - working on my film about the refugees. The conditions worsen by the day as the population of Moria, Kara Tepe, and Better Days camp rise.

Europe is turning their back on this people because there is a real problem with integration, because their culture is to different, because they trie to impose a religion that doesn’t respect the values of the enlightenment. Furthermore there is the problem of the distinction between real refugees and people who like to reap the benefits of the accomplishments in Europe without putting in the effort. Besides that; in Europe people are thinking twice about putting children on the planet and take into account financial means and foreseeable future. I can’t imagine living in desperate conditions and making baby’s like there is no tomorrow. And yes, in WW2, a lot of Europeans also fled to other countries but I never saw footage of those refugees hurling stones at policemen, deliberately pushing crying children against the shields of border patrol and setting the environment on fire. Let’s be very clear about this: war refugees deserve a safe heaven where they can live in peace and harmony, preferably as close to home as possible. If you run the risk of being booted out of your bed in the middle of the night because of what you are writing or thinking to better the conditions in your country then you have every right for asylum all over the globe. Fortune seekers on the other hand are gamblers, some win, some loose but they don’t have my sympathy and let’s not kid ourselves; they are with many and they are responsible for the poor treatment that is given to those that really deserve our help. Your footage is real. So is the footage of ‘refugees’ given descent shelter in Germany, Sweden, Denmark and other countries and non stop complaining: food no good, housing no good, no enough money and so on. The reason that many Europeans have turned their back on these people, including me, has nothing to to with the influence of Trump or Orban like politicians but a result of our own experience and it’s very unfair to pretend that the pancake has only one side. All respect for the effort you put in to help these people but it doesn’t give you the right to talk from a moral high ground, not in the least because the help is sometimes very disputable.
