An underrated gem that feels like one of those small town crime dramas from the early 90s. If you like One False Move or Red Rock West. This is a very similar style and Stephen Dorff is awesome.

This was surprisingly great. One of the best films of the year. A knock off "no country for old men" with a great soundtrack and absolutely stellar acting by Dorff and Travolta. This might be Dorff's best role in his life. He plays a sociopath here, full of disdain for the people in the small town he's come to haunt. But beneath that veneer of misanthropy lies an inability to feel empathy for anyone that's eating away at him. On the other hand you have an innocent young man who allows himself to get dragged down into the darkness by bad people around him. There are some deep themes at play here, so there's some substance to chew on beyond the neo noir plot.
