I learned many of these classics you teach by ear back in the 70s, amazing how many details I missed, of course I was just a kid with nobody around to teach me the proper way for the most part. Re-learning these songs with with your superb and we'll detailed lessons has been very inspirational and a reminder of how great these classic rock tracks really are. Thank you sir.

There is a lot of teachers on here doing many songs, but you are unquestionably the most accurate on every great ear!

Perhaps the coolest riff in rock ever!
they just don't have hooks like this in music anymore!

Dude...Awesome...I never realized how much was going in there. It's like a whole rhythm guitar instructional book in one song. Appreciate how you did this. Keep it up.

You have a SERIOUSLY fine-tuned set of ears,   it's amazing how much better these songs sound when playing them as you teach them...it's night and day.  Thank you for taking the time to make and post your lessons.

Best guitar teacher on YouTube. I see other "teachers" with bigger followings and more subscribers, who quite frankly, are hacks. No names mentioned. Obviously inaccurate parts, overly analyzed ("third finger, 4th fret, second string", etc, for EVERY part), and so forth.
As someone who's been playing professionally for over 40 years, your lessons are a godsend. When I need to learn a song for a gig, I don't have a lot of time due to my day job. I can play along with your videos, then go back to the original track and fine tune what I'm doing.
Also, I see so many other lessons that are just downright wrong. It amazes me that they can't hear that they're playing it just plain wrong.
Your ear and feel are excellent, and you play things RIGHT! Your teaching style is great for pros and intermediate players, as well. If a teacher has to explain how to finger a simple chord in a video like this, the student isn't ready to tackle a song like this. Too many beginners wanna run before they can crawl.
Great channel! You've helped me quickly learn songs accurately when time is of the essence. Keep it coming!

great lesson and so many people rarely acknowledge just how cool the rhythm playing is in this tune.

Wow! I don't think I've ever heard or seen so much guitar work in one song! I'm one of those beginner guys, only a little over a year in, but I love johnny winter so much that I had to have a firebird and that's what I got and I'm glad I did! You have absolutely kicked this song in the ass! Thank you so much for this tutorial! It'll take me a month of Sundays to learn this and get it right, but by the time I do get it, I'll be playing professionally in a band when I'm done learning it. I love Johnny Winter!

You are a huge encouragement. If only one day I could do what I just saw and heard, there are no words. Humble you seem, much praise you well deserve. Again thank you, all that make this possible.

A great tune and brilliant lesson. Just a beginner, but able to follow along. Even able to play this at 75% speed after much repetition. Getting the tone anywhere near still eludes me. Amazing that most of your songs are just using differences in gain, reverb, delay and guitar controls. Thanks for sharing your talent.

It really is a kick ass song and very clever rhythm playing with all kinds of elements - clocking, staccato, slides, double stops, triads, riffs and micro tone bends and inflections….indicative of a player that has been playing a song and invoking his own personality vibe for years. Very fluid. I don’t have as good an ear as you do, but have I have seen him pedaling on the open E during the octave slide…..I don’t know if that is in the studio recording. Excellent lesson…..Rick reminds me of Pat Travers, sorta taking blues to a hyped rock with killer rhythm parts.
