One of the things I like about Lex is he doesn't interrupt

I love talks about this subject. We all gotta go thru it yet we know little outside of the obvious death processes. The craziest thing is nobody can know without taking a true one way ticket to the other side.

If you want to know what happens after death, look at any other living thing. Life starts as a seed, grows, spreads itself, dies, and is reborn over and over again. Most likely- there is no feeling of time, darkness, or a pause in the continuity of your experience, 1 year or 1000 years will pass in an instant, and your experience will click on like a light switch the moment the pattern of thought that is you emerges again. Life goes on 🌿

Whenever I come across one of life's tough questions, I head over to Lex's podcast to hear what the world's foremost nerds have to say on the matter.

I don't know about you but I've forsure experienced "shared thought" with people I'm close with. Either them saying the literal exact words I just thought, or me having a "random thought" saying it and the other responding with "I was just thinking that.". Always freaks me out.

What if those people who have reported near death experiences---who had experienced moving towards the light---were just partially reincarnating as a moth before reviving?

I still think that due to the nature of death (massive DMT release) you experience your own heaven or hell for what could feel like an eternity

Let me summarize what I am getting from this conversation: 4:17 Phillip “ don’t know” and no one don’t know about this subject yet… I’m working on a documentary about it. I read several books about this matter. My answer to all you would be first live your life to the fullest, just do your best, don’t hurt no one and probably you’ll sink back to universal consciousness but do we really want to get back to universal consciousness?? what if…. There is something better out there… “Don’t call it life after death” call it “journey into the unknown” The documentary would be release in the next two weeks.

Universal consciousness is not a new idea, it is the very essence of spirituality. Calling it panpsychism doesn’t make it non-spiritual lol. It’s just religion for atheists

I've been saying this on my podcast for years, but I only have 160 subscribers :/

If consciousness is fundamental (like that of a fundamental particle) then we always were, are and always will be as each of us is collection of fundamental particles. Spiritual practioners in all traditions talk about experiencing this fundamental or universal consciousness. Of course it remains just a theory like others but I prefer it to others coz I experienced this fundamental state in few meditation retreats.

You start asking new questions like “what happens when you’re born?”

Life implies death — the same way waking implies sleeping, day implies night, and good implies evil. Ultimately, the nature of reality is a very complex balancing act. It appears crucial that we all must find security in this concept in order to truly live.

I believe I’ve gone as deep as the mind will allow one to go on hallucinogenics, while being tethered to sanity. I watched my entire being, everything that we are made of, return to the earth and the cosmos. I was evenly dispersed into all living things and beyond. I believe I was witnessing what happens when we die.

I died for 25 seconds 10 years ago. I don't remember much of anything, but there was a silence. It's something I've never felt before. When I was revived, there was a heavy feeling across my body, a warmth. I think when we're dead, there is nothing to experience. The energy is trapped within our body.

I had a NDE and I'll just say I was alive and well. However, this was my experience and mine alone.

I would love to believe in a life after death. That would explain why you spent your whole life learning. To think all that life experience disappears once you die is sad. But, that might be true. Can't be proven wrong. That is uncomfortable to think about.
