They didn't point out that Lt. Surge's name has a double meaning. Yes it means an electrical surge, but surge may also reffer to a large number of soldiers advancing on the battlefield.

Blaine is also close to brain, which explains his quiz gym.

A lot of these such as Brock have such painfully obvious name origins, but I had no idea about a lot of these! Plus, the video was hilarious, so I was entertained throughout all of it. "Whitney... F*** WHITNEY!". Haha good stuff.

You're my new favorite PokeTuber (along with Trickiwi and Michael of course!) Mainly because you like Pokemon AND ATLA. I love all the ATLA references in your videos! Keep up the good work! ^-^

here's some (maybe farfetched) idea why Jasmine is a steel type gym leader: Jasmine is a flower. Flowers grow on the end of a stem. The dutch word for stem is steel. See? although the pronunctiation is different, the writing is the same :D

This video was awesome. I knew that every gym leader's name was relevant but didn't know how deep some of them went.

Brock could be a combination of brother and rock, since in the anime it is heavily emphasized that he is the oldest brother taking care of his family in place of his father.Although this could have been an afterthought since the games first.

But her name is spelled differently, so that is actually completely irrelevant...
