He is being an old man "get off my lawn" type, but he is absolutely correct. Traveling and carrying in the NBA is never called.

He's right. Watch a game from the 80's. They will call traveling, three seconds, moving screens, goaltending. It's really ridiculous what goes on these days. Just focus on moving screens or three seconds in the paint for one current game. Also it use to be that if your hand was under the ball, it was a carry. Frankly I like the game now but it funny how blatant the rules are ignored.
