What's the Deal with Sonic Centrals?

the sonic central was great for me i mean th only problem i had with this new sonic centreal 2023 is because its all of the sonic project we knew we thought like sonic movie 3 or the knuckles show would have a trialer for this central but no we didnt have that but thats just sega they dont show their projects yet you know their just swackling their buckles you know their shimmieng their jimmies

The only reason why people aren't happy with these is just because we already know what we're getting out of them. I hope they get better with marketing their games and save as much information as you can to shock us all when they do a Sonic Central on it. The idea of a Sonic Central is absolutely genius, but the execution is where it's faltering. I just think getting all this crazy news and watching it before then defeats the purpose of them doing a Sonic Central. That being said, I was still excited about all of the announcements whether they were announced at the Central or earlier on.

I think its extremely key to remember not everyone watches Sonic news 24/7 or is on Twitter 24/7 that is a Sonic fan.

For me everything was pretty new and exciting outside Superstars so i was pretty lit afterwards!

You gotta remember that not every single Sonic fan is on Twitter or is constantly looking for information about the franchise 24/7. It covered everything very well in my opinion, and I believe it was fine the way it was done.

For me, I had a good idea of what to expect, but I was excited to see how they were going to show it, and I enjoyed what they showed.

While most of the announcements that come from the Sonic Central can be mid, expecting a huge announcement for every Sonic Central because of how big the first central was is almost setting up for disappointment

I really enjoyed this Sonic Central but I'd lie if I said I wasn't a bit disappointed they didn't show anything for the movie or the show but had almost half of the time dedicated to Lego. Prime and Frontiers definitely carried.

I think the Centrals are fine for what they are. They're not gonna be the big style of showcase like a Nintendo Direct or even State of Play since it's dedicated to one franchise, and there's gonna be a decent focus on things like merch and crossovers due to Sonic's inherent value as a multimedia brand. Maybe I'd suggest not revealing so much stuff beforehand when they have a new one coming up. This last one would've been better if it came right before Summer Games Fest and we didn't know about Superstars or the specifics of the Birthday Bash update for Frontiers.

For things like the live action series and movies, they licensed that out to Paramount so they can't really control how that stuff gets marketed, so they can only really mention and remind people of their existence. Same with Mario and Sonic. Nintendo would prefer that gets shown in a Direct instead.

That death egg playset actually looks really cool and its nice to finally see an actual playset being based off of that also the fact that he got his own restaurant at the comic con in san diego is also really amazing also that eggman rap was low key definitely catchy now I kind of want to listen to it in it's entirety just because of how good it sounded

Something tells me that the Knuckles show was supposed to have a teaser, but I guess it wasn’t ready to show yet

For me it was alright at least because sonic central had everything including merchandise that i felt interesting to buy one, sonic prime season 2 trailer got me hyped for some reason because I want to see more screentime with shadow at this point going forward, i can't forget about the Eggman rap was the part of the event, Sonic Superstars is the most excited that i look forward after the interview was pretty good to know, the idea of sonic central is supposed to have new projects instead of same projects we had since 2021 and 2022, cause i feel like they need to show more for example that they announce sonic colors ultimate was very important to announce getting interesting something new so why they can't announce something unleashed remaster or adventure remakes at some way before focusing on other projects of marketing to sonic the hedgehog, even teaser trailers of every spin off games like riders or racing game might be part of the event of sonic central, especially character games like shadow or silver, i always wanted to see silver the hedgehog game but it didn't happen, and now for teaser trailer for next sonic game before frontiers might be the biggest surprise for the fans until frontiers succeeded over millions of copies for hundreds of dollars, so I'll be happy if they're gonna announce Sonic Adventure 3 might be the biggest surprise cause we don't know if they had no plans to begin with, like it if you agree with me, hopefully in next year with sonic central needs to be done

for me, I felt like they weren't taking any steps for bigger projects. Sure, Lego collab isn't a small thing but I expected new teaser for a game or something. We alredy knew about Sonic Superstars so it wasn't much of a surprise but I simply felt like they were doing bunch of small things instead of bigger, more exciting projects.

i mean they said they would be talking about 2023 projects i didnt expect them to show a new game because well we already have things to digest they could have talked about the 8 player online battle mode of superstars or reveal that ambitious sonic mobile game that hardlight is doing

I thought this years Sonic Central was fine. The LEGO stuff looks cool and update 2 for Sonic Frontiers is pretty solid. Also can’t forget about the Eggman Rap.

I thought maybe they would tease some stuff for update three or future game projects they are interested in doing, kind of like a movie line up but with maybe 2 to 3 games to be released in the next 10 years. Maybe that’s too much but it would be a cool idea

Objectively this definitely was a in case you missed it Sonic central but I was the one person who actually missed A lot of the stuff shown in the Sonic central so for me this is one of the best sonic centrals but I can understand why everyone else who actually knew about this stuff didn’t like it as much.
But we can all agree the Eggman rap was fire 🔥
