I Just bought the fallout board game and ended up ordering atomic bonds right away because when I read the booklets playing against another player felt wrong. Just like you felt.

this is what I've been saying about this game! There's a scenario in New California that's cooperative, but to have the option to play any scenario cooperative sounds great.

You're just playing the game wrong that's all.

It's not a difficult game to add homebrew elements. One that I've found is neat, is using those silly waypoint markers... as DIBS markers. You got a quest line you really want to do, let each player have a DIB marker, and I mean, everyone who is worth anything at all... respects the rule of 'Dibs'

The game has so much potential... it's like Pokemon Master Trainer... I've done things to that game, yes used some other open source stuff other people have done, but I'd say that only encompasses about 25% of the changes I've made, like assets obviously. And the game is actually something me and my friend Ryan play a lot because we're playing it as like a co-op rivals Pokemon adventure.

Also as for the Fallout Board Game... the Agenda points are stupid... I treat Fallout more as a board game that I want to enjoy the journey NOT the end-game. In fact whenever I play it, it usually only ends once the faction tracker is like 'Welp, we hit the end of the story' and I'm like 'Aww okay cool. I can't wait to play again :D'
