Oddly enough, Sauvage smells very much like a fragrance Next brought out back in the late 80's. I loved the smell. It was light, fresh, clean with a slight sweetness to it. For some reason, Next stopped producing it a couple of years later. So when I caught the Sauvage scent I was instantly taken back to that Next smell, so bought a bottle. It did not smell on me whatsoever. Nothing. I ended up selling it on to a colleague.
Oddly enough, I used to wear 'Happy for Men' by Clinique. Loved the smell. But over the past year, that too no longer smells on me. I even sent the bottle back to the company, who did testing on it and confirmed there was a fault with a batch. It seems (certain) fragrances are getting weaker and weaker. Unsure if companies are out-sourcing the production, or just cutting down strength in order to save money. Either way, I no longer use Happy for Men.

I’ve been wearing Arimis Since it was introduced in 1969. I’m 86 years old and I’ve had more compliments on the cologne then I couldn’t remember I’ve never worn anything else.

It blows my mind how devoted we become to a cologne or perfume once we come to lobe it. My grandmother is STILL searching high and low to buy Evening in Paris(the parfume) famous from the 20’2 - the 1960’s or so. It was always her signature smell. We can’t find anything like it to her liking, not that any are imitations per se.

Awesome list! The dreamer is a very unique fragrance.. actually I think all of Versace fragrances are quite distinct. I’ve worn blue jeans and Eros. Love Bleu de Chanel.. not familiar with the rest…
