You know the world's messed up when finance careers pay more than biomedical engineering which is arguably the most impactful for human life on this list.

This one is very precise, accurate and as well as more importantly very professional and motivational.
Thank you for making the video. It is very helpful for students like me who are suffering on choosing what engineering career path I should choose in my life.

I think another great career path that was maybe overlooked under management is Product Management. Most, if not all of my coworkers share a background in EE and quickly jumped into PM. Myself with a background in IoT jumped in this ship to gain the skills and hopefully in the distant future become an entrepreneur.

In my opinion this software engineering, Data science and computer science majors are going to be very competitive in the future. Its a bubble. What degree would you recommend to a person who likes an active role(not a boring desk job), and has very good pay right after college. I also want to start a business at some point in my life. What are the best engineering degrees that I should consider.

Another kind of engineer few people have heard of - natural language processing engineer. It’s using machine learning to help computers with human languages. Think Alexa, Siri, and Google Home.

Biomedical engineers should be higher on the list. According to the Bureau of labor statistics, they make a bit more than mechanicals with significantly higher pay in certain states. Location matters a bunch for some engineering jobs like chemical, petroleum, and computer engineers.

I study computer science myself but I'm very interested in electrical engineering as well. I wanna take a couple of electrical engineering courses in the coming semesters to set myself up for a masters degree at the intersection of cs and ee.

As a retired Professional Teleco Engineer, I found job enjoyment was my premier requirement. A good work/life balance is more important than higher salaries or prestige.

i have a biomed bachelors and masters. lol. but, I've always in manufacturing. I actually started at a Japanese automotive manufacturer when i finished my masters. Now, most recently, I got a job making $115k at a medical device manufacturer at the age of 29.

Is this salaries in US? They are pretty good I must say. Mechanical engineer with a Master of Science degree here in Sweden makes around $40k per year before 25% tax, so actually closer to $30k. I am born in the wrong country.

FYI not all Aerospace Engineers make the same. There are subspecialties that people work on. Structural Design, Structural Analysis, Propulsion, Mechanism, Aerodynamics, Material Science, Mechanisms, Software, Electrical, Avionics, etc. Typically they ones that make the highest are the analyst. Structural, Propulsion, etc....
