Who would’ve though the Cheesecake Factory that’s known for cheesecake and chicken sliders and not for steak doesn’t have good steak.

Fun fact, cheese cake factory doesn’t actually make the cheesecakes but they order them and have them shipped in.
Ex wife used to work at one for a while.

When it comes to chain restaurants. It’s all about the chef. You either get a corporate stooge that does the bare minimum. Or you get a chef in training. That’s going to go out of their way to use what they have to make you something close to gourmet.

I don’t understand why these restaurants get such a bad rep. People often say papa johns is nasty, but they make really decent pizza for a fast food place. And I love outback and Longhorn, makes a difference if you eat it while it’s hot and fresh, not after it eat for a while.

This is crazy because longhorn got one of the highest ratings from max the meat guy of like 88/100 and was the only steak the won over his over many different tests.
