Given it’s only the third episode, I think you’re perhaps being overly impatient in terms of certain plot line and character developments you’re eager to see being advanced. I feel the show has about right tempo in terms of pacing and evolution at this point.

Regarding your specific criticism of not sending Dinesh and Guilfoyle out into the "real world"… well, in fact they did – just you didn’t see it. Instead, the viewer got to imagine the two of these antagonistic misfits going to some horrible DMV like place to get Guilfoye’s visa application, which was brilliant and perhaps all the more vivid for NOT actually being shown.

As for some of the other things you sniped about, I thought the exchange with the crusty owner of likewise named Pied Piper Irrigation was pretty flawed on a number of levels (not least of which from a legal standpoint) but nonetheless served a purpose if for no other reason than as a contrast to the alternative branding methods such as random name generation (hilariously demonstrated with the whiteboard sequence – “SMLR” etc.) or the trippy hallucinogenic route that produced nothing but vomit, a shit-smeared toilet and an “Amber alert”…

And as for the “random, throw-away characters” you seem to have taken such umbrage to, I can’t see why. Absolutely they were nothing more than that, but also necessary for the sub-plot of the episode showing how Peter Gregory’s mind as an investor works in mysterious ways…

Anyway, that’s my 2 cents.
