I was with my Dad, a retired USAF fighter pilot, at Nellis AFB circa 1982. We were driving along the flight line when 2 F-16As took off and went almost straight vertical. My Dad craned his head in the windshield to keep them in sight, and as they disappeared he turned to me and said, "The F-86 wouldn't do that..."

The F/A-18 E/F is actually called the Super Hornet.

With my interest in aviation starting in the mid-70s the F-16, F-15, and A-10 will always be some of my favorite planes. Thanks for the video.

i luckily have the pleasure of going to this every other year since i live here but lucky also when they have red flag to drive 20 minutes to park right over next to the runway and watch em all take off and land, never gets old, F35 has to be my favorite out of all

Beginning at 1:43, for about 5 seconds I seriously thought you'd dubbed the audio of a fighter w/ a GE F-100 taking off, over your video of the A-10. 😂 Nice video as always.

When my Dad was on the Thunderbird Team at Nellis he would take off and go straight up so far we couldnt even see him when he leveled off. I always thought Nellis was the greatest base to be around as a kid. So many different jets to see.
