3 Hot and Hidden Archery Blind Setups

This year we have moved some Redneck Ghillie blinds around to specifically use them for archery setups, on the ground for some incredible hot and hidden bowhunting options. I have experienced that deer blinds can be even more hidden than a treestand, depending on the circumstances. For example while you may be able to access the side of a field, small food plot or rut cruising corridor safely without spooking deer, you then spook them and announce your presence when you climb 20' into the air. We have developed several outstanding, hidden archery setups on the lands we hunt and I fully expect to shoot a mature buck out of at least one of these setups. Here is how to keep your deer blind archery setups hot all season and most importantly hidden.

I have a similar situation at one part of our farm where visibility is about 200 yds in 3 directions . We have a blind on a tower platform that's about 10ft high. We simply attach pine, cedar and/or pin oak branches with zip ties to the lower 4x6 uprights. This conceals us when climbing in and out.
Deer become accustom to things relatively quickly especially in farm country and this setup increases visibility and will usually put your scent up and above for close archery hunting. You might be amazed on how well this works and you will love it during gun season. Thanks for the videos

Do you take down blinds each year after season?
When late fall arrives the deer won‘t show till after dark, I often think the blind and black window openings make them nervous? What do you think?

thanks for sharing your content. those crab apple trees, would you plant them along travel corridors as a sweetener for the deer or would you reccommend planting them in close proximity and withtin your food plots?

Love the videos Jeff. I am actually in the U.P. of Michigan so it is great to hear you talk and give advice about hunting up here and how your tips apply to the big woods. My property has a residential neighborhood to the North and Swamp to the South. The swamp isn't legally huntable and holds a majority of the deer. Ideally I could have hidden access from the North, have the residential area behind me and watch the deer filter through before dark as they head to people's backyards. The problem is prevailing winds here are NNW so the wind is typically blowing from the neighborhood towards the swamp. I feel like I either have to maintain good access but hunt very little/have bad winds, or hunt the West edge farther south on my property so the wind is more favorable, but then access isn't as hidden and the deer could get between me and the residential area when I am trying to leave. LONG COMMENT - what are your thoughts? I'm trying to think of other ways to hide access in the big woods as a lot of trees need to be cut to get sunlight for switch grass. Thanks! I appreciate it.

What about pop up blinds? I hunt in Wisconsin on public land, and with the blaze orange rules for our blinds it is a bit difficult. Would love some suggestions or a video on bettering my hunting situations with regard to these issues.
Last years hunt I had a group of does within 40 yards of my blind, but I'd like to replicate that and hope it wasn't just luck... I can embrace getting luck, however, luck doesn't always put deer in the freezer.
Thanks for all the information you share, and until next time.

I'm starting to take a closer look at thermals and I noticed some of your blinds are on alittle bit of a hillside does that make them morning or evening stands or does it even matter ? not only with your set up there but with anybody's set up that might be similar to yours.

Always love your videos. Full of great content, and I always wonder how being that close to a neighborhood how do you deal with the casual trespasser? Meaning those people that think that since no one lives there that no one will care if they took a hike and have nature walks, or those kids that are trying to have honest fun in the woods that don’t have access to their own?

Do you clear multiple shooting lanes or have one main one and pray it's the ticket? I always struggle with clearing to much so any shot is possible, but you loose your cover at the same time

Geez I hope being elevated in our tree stands doesn’t work against us it’s only 8 feet but still elevated had I known wouldn’t have paid for the towers oh well time will tell
