Awesome. There's a boat hull repair trick: reverse the order of the fiberglass mat circles (small on top) for better contact at the edges

Oh man I would thrive in these repairs. Working on composite helicopter blades to make it look like no bullet holes were ever there.

Excellent tutorial. This is a highly functional and professional looking job in the surfboard world. If you want to go crazy with color matching as if this is a car, knock yourself out. I’d personally rather spend that extra time surfing.

It is super hard to match different shades of white.

Good as new and possibly even stronger.

60 years ago in the 7th grade all the guys wanted to prove they knew more about cars than the next guy. Now that trait seems to be everywhere! Your repair is not only water tight but light weight and structurally sound. Well done!

Never knew there was so many steps to do it the right way. I just do one stage and call it done. That's a lot of steps to take to do it right.

Did adding 2 layers of cloth raise the surface much?

White silicone caulk and an ice cube to smooth. Not as pretty but good temp fix.

For epoxy resin application can use micro balloons as my filler large ding in my paddle board foam is eps and do I need to purchase a Epoxy resin sanding for the final hot quote?

When I do the repairs for customers I use carbon as a top layer just for 😊 fun

You can still see it but it's much much better than the dink and with the ding being gone you'll be able to Surf properly without having any missed movements or issues or breaking so I say you did I would say about a 92% good job if you wanted to go step further you could have also done a few coats of paint and lacquer and Overcoat make sure that it's all good and good but that would also take a lot longer but it would also go into a better quality but any fix is better than no fix

Good Job, but you did the patches wrong, you have to put the bigger fiberglass first, otherwise you Will unnecessarily cut the fibers and Will lose strenght.
