Zip Toggle, aka Sailors Knife Lanyard Knot

I use these as customised zip pulls. Larger ones are also great on luggage to give your generic black bag a distinctive marker. In The Ashley Book of Knots it's number 787 and 788. In fact this was the first fancy knot I taught my self directly from Ashley. It's a pretty easy knot to tie and looks great. Hope this is useful. I have done a previous video on this using two cords, this is the traditional one cord version and then doubled.
I make and sell all the cord I use, you can get it via my web site.

Great informational video, Philip. I have always doubled my knife lanyard knots after trying a single strand version. I usually do this by adding a second cord and ending up with 4 cords coming out of the globe. Your method is perfect for making toggles. I'm going to try this next time. Great video!
