To me right now, traveling alone has become a therapy. I love my solo trips .Before I got married and had kids, I used to travel by myself all over the world, and then I had kids, and that kinda stopped. But now, as an old lady I treasure, every moment of my Solo trips to Disney, I have music in my earbuds, sometimes I just sit and watch people and families, I love offering to take photos for families. And seeing the joy, you know when they're all posing silly and having fun, I love talking to people in line first timers especially, it's so exciting watching them enjoy rides for the first time. There's nothing better and more therapeutic than a solo adult trip to Disney. It's the happiest place on earth.

1st solo trip next month driving in from TX, and I'm 70! I can't wait!

I’ve been contemplating a solo trip for a while now. My children are in school and can’t get away. Plus, they’re at that age when going with “dad” might seem less enjoyable. (They’ll appreciate it more when they’re adults.) Most of my friends don’t like Disney (bite your tongue) or think it’s too expensive so solo may be my only option as I’m really missing it.

Living in FL, I grew up with the DisneyWorld parks starting in 1972 as a kid (with siblings), EPCOT in 1982 as a teen (going w/family & friends), in the 90s with my own children. I’m now 55 and will be taking my FIRST SOLO vacation to WDW! 8 days at Port Orleans Riverside Magnolia Bend.. Park Days, Disney Spring Days, Resort Days… not bickering with siblings, no compromising with friends, no mood swings with children and spouses…. Just Me! Cant wait! Gonna Eat, Drink, Play, and get my Mickey on! Feb 2025 here I come!

Traveling alone to Disney World was the BEST trip i had to Disney yet (it was my 6th trip in total). I got to do things at my pace, ride all the rides I needed and wanted to, eat what i want without anothers input. I did meet some frjends there a couple of days in so the boredom didn’t hit for me.

I travel to Disney during the school year all the time by myself. My kids are older and have lost interest in Disney and my wife still works. It is great, I get to do adult stuff. Visit bars at the different resorts, eat at restaurants my kids are not interested in. When I am with my family I focus on their happiness not mine. When I am by myself I can do what makes me happy and I get to relax more.

I usually take my 72 year old mom but I have also taken numerous trips by myself. I am kind of a loner so this is where I feel most comfortable. I can go where I want, eat where I want, ride what I want, stay where I want. You get the idea.

I've flown solo from Germany twice now to meet my bestie at Disney World. The travel part is no fun, but you forget all about it once you're in the Disney bubble.

I always felt self-conscious at MK. It is by far the park most geared to families with young kids, and a solo adult stands out, at least in my mind.

Worst part of travelling alone is paying for the room by yourself. Worst part of travelling with others is sharing the room with them.

I've never been so bored at WDW that I've been tempted to read a book or play a game on my phone. There's always so much to see and people to watch or talk to.

I've traveled solo before. I visited London and Paris solo during my first visit to those cities. It is definitely a different feeling. However, I did learn that after a few days I get lonely.

Yes - and planned another solo trip! I had so much fun. I probably ended up talking to more people as a solo traveler! Lol!

I book my WDW trips a good 9-6 months in advance thinking I'll find someone to go with me. The past two years I've ended up going solo.
Best trips ever! Got up when I wanted, ate when/where I wanted, did it all my way.
I was never lonely or bored. Too much to do and see for that. And too exhausted once back in my room at night to do nothing other than shower and go to bed.
I'm an introvert who likes to chat so most of the time, I was happy doing my thing and then would top off my social meter by chit-chatting with people in line, watching parades, etd.
I'm also an old lady who needs an ECV to get around WDW and absolutely no problems getting around solo using one. I used all the transportation: bus, monorail, skyliner, ferry boat with my ECV and the cast members for each mode of transport were super helpful. I had been concerned about needing an ECV without a travel companion to help with guiding me into tight spots, hold doors open, etc., but I had no need to worry about that.

I have traveled to Disney alone. I love the freedom! I don't have to talk anyone into visiting the characters or wait for them to do the roller coasters. I can choose where to eat and go to the parades with no guilt. it's the best!

I think you already know this; but you can get TSA pre- approval so every time you fly, and can use the other line.

I live 3 hours from WDW and visit every other month. I go solo and love it. I get up when I want, eat what I want, and ride what I want. It really is a time for me to destress from work and regular life. My husband may join me on a trip or two. But I totally have no issues with solo Disney Trips. 🎉🎉

I had a blast in December when I went solo to Disney World. I stayed where I wanted, didn't have to ask anyone what attractions they wanted to go on, Shopped where I wanted, and ate where I wanted. I treated myself to a few signature restaurants. I did get a little homesick. But, I would call home every night and that eased it. The main anxiety issue I had was the lack of sleep.
