I met Val Kilmer at LBCC in Long Beach around 2015 I guess there about. He put on a film he made and acted in as both Mark Twain and Huck Finn in conversation. It was very clever and great!
Kilmer did a question n answer with the audience after. He’s very nice. Was thin from his chemo but didn’t act self pitying at all. Just loves people and his craft!

When Jim’s own band mates, who spent so much time with him, couldn’t even tell if they were listening to Jim or Val, THAT is the sign of a gifted actor. I’m a massive fan of Val Kilmer. I’m not surprised that he nailed that role. Personally, I think it’s spooky just how accurate he was. Makes me wonder.
