What is Rare Disease Day?

Stephanie Feinberg, the family program assistant for The Children’s Inn at NIH talked to MCM’s Deirdre Byrne about Rare Disease Day. The holiday, which — if possible — is celebrated on Leap Day, February 29, is a special day for The Children’s Inn at NIH to help their children and families realize that they are not alone.

Feinberg, herself, can empathize with these individuals because she too lives with a rare disease.
