From the US Supreme Court ruling ending affirmative action in college admissions to the controversy surrounding Claudine Gay’s ouster from Harvard, backlash to diversity, equity and inclusion is on the rise. Right-wing figures like Elon Musk and Stephen Miller are leading an “anti-woke” charge that threatens to undo gains made by people of color in the wake of George Floyd’s murder and the Black Lives Matter protests. The Fearless Fund, a venture capital firm helping women of color, is one of the latest targets of litigation.

It’s not just the right that’s sick of this 😂

DEI is fundamentally about discriminating by skin color, not by socioeconomic conditions during upbringing which is what the nation should be adjusting for. Measure what you care about, like zip code or median income of household during childhood, don't use skin color as a proxy for it.

Hiring by diversity is how you get racism. Hiring by skill despite race is the way to go

As an European watching
This is clearly propaganda 😂

I don't understand it. We once agreed that we want to treat all people equally and that skin color, religion and gender are irrelevant. The solution we have now chosen for equality is not to treat people equally, but to give them preference on the basis of skin color, religion and gender. That is madness.

It is ridiculous to think that when the population of black people is 13%, every company's management should be 13%. The same idea is that when there is 100 applicants for a job, 90 men and 10 women, they should hire 2 men and 2 women. No, it should not be like that, but rather the best applicants to be chosen.

Ok, great statistic bias:

You show chart of management where 75% of managers are white, and you point to imbalance in Black people being 6% while population consits of 13% black.
Despite the white ratio actually being correct... and offset is caused mainly by asian people
Why not point out that per 6% of asian population 13% of them are in managerial role too... i'n america that's 75% white?

Ah right... that doesn't fit the narration.

Meritocracy is the way to go! It has always been! Either you have knowledge and skills or you are a failure!

It's not okay to discriminate against Whites and Asians in order to assuage historical guilt.

"Diversity is our strength"... when they say that I have NO idea what they are talking about or how that is actually a strength.

1. People are racist
2. People don’t believe they are racist
3. DEI is meant to offset 1
4. People resist DEI because of 2

I support inclusion and equality. No one should be locked out of a political system or lose opportunity due to skin color in America. However, it is time to be honest here. I grew up in a city and certain ethnic groups worked hard even at very young ages to position themselves for career success and I mean some worked very hard. Other ethnic groups did not place the same value on education. The members of that second ethic group who chose to put in the work were rewarded with a career. Sometimes just analyzing lagging data places too much blame. There are a lot of factors for why numbers appear the way they do that extend beyond racism.
