I think the problem is so many of us (viewers) have just been burnt out on Xmas collections in general. They’re done to attract people new to makeup and gift givers/recipients, but people watching beauty YT and following pages on Instagram have what we want by now, so more is just more at this point.

I'm with you, Charlotte. Sometimes I feel like Pat McGrath as a brand is scapegoated and hated so much for what other brands do as well. There are so many similar color stories from Natasha Denona, Chanel, Dior, etc. but I never understood how Pat McGrath is negatively criticized for stuff like that. I love the last pink-color themed mothership palette. It honestly has lovely blush colors and highlights to make for a nice monochromatic look that's been so popular since last year. Color stories are recycled like how every trend is recycled, too. If hating that brand gives you joy, ok.. But dang I don't get it.

I like the big palette. Neutral enough to get a lot of wear out of, but colorful enough to experiment a bit.

This new 15 pan pallet screams …
MOTHERSHIP MEGA; CELESTIAL NIRVANA.
I don’t recall if celestial nirvana was last year or the year before. I’m looking at mine now and there is a shimmery, metallic silver, a bright blue and a matte forest green.
Last year’s holiday palette which I also have includes the shimmering green so between these last two pallets together, I don’t need this one…(didn’t last year, but I bought it anyway😉).
Nothing excites me here..
I hope for the day that Pat launches a NEW MOTHERSHIP IN SHADES WE’VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE FROM HER !

As soon as I saw the teasers, my brain said "nope. A mothership or nothing, you're not getting the money from my grubby little hands for crummy packaging and uninspired color stories." And that's my two cents.

I have the mothership VIII in the rose gold edition that I won in a giveaway. I love about half of it and the rest goes untouched. I don’t need or care to have any more eyeshadows from the brand. I know I’m in the minority here but it is what it is!❤

Last year they probably had so much variety because they had to hit all the skin tones with the blushes and the highlights being in there

Just for correction. I think this collection is going to be made in italy, notice how the pans are baked like the usual quints which were made in italy not the US

Thank you for the visual STOP hehehe it showed that what attracted me from this palette, are the same shadows I have in other Indy palettes. I am going to wait until they are in marshals or tj maxx in December.

The only one I want is the Green combo for sure. I own all of her mothership palettes and that green is definitely a shade she hasn’t done in her Mothership palettes. ❤ every time she announces a new Mothership I’m praying it’s a green heavy palette.

I don’t own any pat mcgrath but I’m tempted by some of the eyeshadows as they look so sparkly and pretty! Also your makeup looks absolutely gorgeous in this video Charlotte! Your eyes are stunning

Where I live in the U.S. Pat McGrath makeup is almost always at TJ Maxx, eyeshadow palettes, lipglosses, bronzers, blushes, lip colors. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I actually love this collection for the holidays. It's going to be great for my holiday gift giving. I also am starting to really appreciate the cardboard packaging as it's easier to recycle and great for travel. I used to get annoyed by the "same" colors, but to be honest, it makes sense to produce neutrals for those of us that will be gifiting makeup for the holidays for friends and family members that don't use bright colors.

I am going to hold out for a mothership. Although the rose gold duo might turn up in my Xmas stocking!
