Any SWE out there that wants to chime in, as to why this isn’t possible using Tesla Vision please let us know bc it’s frustrating that a feature like this isn’t available to all models

"All it takes" is normally a good indication that not all (hidden, not obvious) requirements are known. If "All it takes" is followed by e.g. "...that only requires a week of engineering" then applying the rule "next unit and +2" (So "one week" -> "three months") yields surprisingly good estimates.

I am a new first-time Tesla owner and I absolutely cannot believe there is no warning to let me know when I’ve left my parking lights on. This has been on every car for as long as I can remember. Sometimes at dusk or on a dark cloudy day I like to use my parking lights when full headlights are not necessary. I also think aesthetically it looks good. If not a warning, at least turn the lights off automatically if I forgot to do so. Several times now I’ve left and returned to my car only to find the parking lights still on. Come on Tesla. This should be an extremely simple fix.

To be fair you can open the boot in a number of ways without using the button, this is a neat addition but not really a show stopper
