The best place I have found to skip applying algother is your schools' career fair or career services/job portal. There are sometimes interviews ON campus that no one goes to!

I'm a mechanical engineering student and all of my interests are gravitating towards comp sci. Our curriculum only teaches MATLAB but I've taught myself Python, OOP, Django, etc, and I want to know what advice you'd give me to bridge the gap of knowledge that I have missed from classic computer science majors.

i appreciate you shared about Northrop and Grumman, i get so sick of every tech applicant talking about Facebook or Google like they are the only companies in the world to apply to, not to mention the competition has to be a 1000 fold compared to other companies i'm sure.

What is the average GPA required at the time to applying internship, which could be considered

Just started coding last semester. Learned some python and did a group project for my final assignment. Although I know very little to nothing about programming, I'd love to at least get my foot in the door as an intern. Any tips on what I should focus on? Should I wait until I'm more experienced to join an internship?

You don’t necessarily need xyz on your resume. Sometimes companies hire below their standards and there are a lot of times that hr made the requirements page and they just take key words from an actual dev position or something. Definitely still doesn’t hurt to apply to a position you have interest in, even if you’re not 100% qualified. They will take someone that’s eager to learn and is truly passionate about the stuff.

I study courses through udemy, so basically i study c, java, sql to broaden my knowledge in hopes to gather skills that I could possibly explain in my future interview. Hopefully I create a project where I could show my skills.
