R. Kelly sentenced to 30 years in prison

R&B star R. Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison Wednesday for using his superstardom to subject young fans — some just children — to systematic sexual abuse.

The singer and songwriter, 55, was convicted of racketeering and sex trafficking last year at a trial that gave voice to accusers who had once wondered if their stories were being ignored because they were Black women.

U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly imposed the sentence after hearing from several survivors who attested to how Kelly’s exploitation reverberated across their lives.

I remember when I first went to an R. Kelly concert in Toronto, I was jealous when I saw how all the girls were just throwing themselves at him, they were like in a trance rubbing up on him and grabbing his crotch, it was raunchy and disgraceful, I don't think those woman would act like this normally but it was like they couldn't help themselves, they were hypnotized by him, security couldn't keep those girls off him and a lot of them were underage, this was in the 90s when he was on top of his game, now he looks so beatdown and old.

This guy escaped a bullet years ago, rapping little girls peeing on them and got a ways with it, the sensible thing would have been to stop doing it, he ruined his own life, he would have gotten lesser time if he had pleaded guilty as he knew he was, but he don’t have common sense I guess, after all he can’t read and write so he’s not the smart pencil in the box

Victims at such young age, it's so hard but well done judge, jury, prosecutor (s), police, witnesses and those who believed!
With this justice, this rotten excuse for human has lost ALL POWER over young victims and more power to them now, move on strong, knowing you've got justice!
Move on, be strong and leave this with him, I'm sure fellow inmates will give him the welcome he deserves!
