I've been looking for a project that I could make to use up lots of my little scrap pieces of fabric from previous projects.
So I Googled what to sew, and came upon a website called "All free sewing" where I found this cute little pattern.

Happy Sewing!!
Just a quick note before you start.... I've used a 5 thread overlocker when sewing the 2nd bag which has an extra stitch along the inside of serged edges. If sewing with a serger/overlocker, you'll need to sew around the whole bag before clipping the corners, otherwise you'll have a hole in the corners.

All you need is:
2 x 6" x 4" main fabric
2 x 4" x 4" contrast fabric
1 x 6" x 4" back fabric
1 x 2" ribbon loop 1 x swivel clip

Brilliant! Perfect timing. I’ve just bern thinking about making a tissue pouch but with a zipper. This solved my issue and will be much more efficient and almost no cost. Thanks!!!! ❤❤❤❤

I appreciate your directions and the candor with which you discuss your pricing. I think many of us undervalue our skills and you have a perfect setup with a shop to produce and sell your wares.

Great idea have so much left over bits of fabric. In the UK we call them over locker if it used at home mine is a 3 thread. I used to work in a clothes factory and they called them sergers because they had 4-5 threads. With 3 they neaten the edge with 4-5 they sew the seam and neaten the edge. That's what I was taught

This is a wonderful idea. I've seen so many of the things you sell and this one is my fav. I'm at that age where we leak. I always have a tissue in my sleeve or bra strap. I like these little tissue for my purse but even if you slip them into a pocket they always get messed up. So this is a brilliant idea!

I came across your video while searching for pouch for cloth baby wipes and very happy I did! I immediately went to my 'happy place' (aka sewing room) and made a little tissue pouch for my granddaughter. It went so well it was my inspiration to make a larger one for the cloth wipes I had made for my DIL. I interfaced each piece then lined with PUL. I also added a flap with velcro fastener to cover the slit. During construction I had a couple small hiccups but the final result worked as I had envisioned. Thank you so much!

I did this a few weekends ago. I used the serger to sew it together and it took 5 minutes without labels. Great project for church fairs

You can do coasters like this also. Us a 5 inch charm pack...with 5 pieces, 4 folded, 1 for the back, stitch around, turn it, press, then do a star or tack the middle intersection, done.

Hi Christine. These are brilliant, my mum always taught us to carry a tissue 😂 and I panic if I haven’t got one with me, this is such a brilliant idea. My daughter tells me to use my sleeve 😩 she doesn’t get out much unless walking our dog 😂. Thank you so much xx

A fantastic way to use up scaps! Can you do a bridle bag video please.

I seem to have missed where you turned them right side out. I make coasters exactly like these, so I know how to turn them. It's so clever, they way they are turned. So you might want to show us how you do that. Thanks for another great video.

Hi Christine - I made one out of fabric scraps but made the mistake of not placing the lobster clip next to the back fabric and hence it was inside when I turned it all through. So I had to unpick that side and then placed it beneath the other fabric and it turned out perfectly. I then thought I’d try doing one using oil cloth offcuts to avoid having to zigzag the seams but, oh my goodness, it took me absolutely ages to turn it though and I couldn’t poke out the corners despite having clipped them across - it looked awful. I was determined not to give up and then had the idea of turning it inside out again and sewing round corners. This time when I turned it through the rounded corners were perfect with no folds or puckers. It actually looks better too 😊. Thank you so much for sharing this video - I really enjoy watching and learning from you x

I did enjoy the video, as always, thanks Christine. We must be on the same wavelength as I was thinking about making something similar with my scraps and now I don't have to guess how to make them. looking forward to your next video 😊

I have made many tissue pouches but not with the same pattern/ method as yours. Mine was very time consuming to make with a bbutton and loop closure to hold the packet inside.
I really like yours better. It looks like the pack of tissue is easy to insert but won't fall out as you get to the last one. I'm going to try this pattern. Thanks for sharing!

Made a bunch of these with fabric leftover from your zip pouch pattern and they were easy -too easy! You cautioned about having raw edges towards the centre and I thought nah, that won’t happen to me. Well, pride goeth before a fall, as they say....stitch ripper went into overdrive to fix the last one 😜. Thank you for another great pattern, Christine 🙏🏻
