It's the love child of an AR and an AK. It's also got birth defects

...What happens when you reverse engineer an HK 416 without looking at the technical package.

The Infographic channel really shows just how little anyone on their staff knows about firearms in this video.
Notice the way they measure the barrel of the rifle, not from the breech, they start at the end of the hand guard.
Then they can’t represent the bullet tumbling and “key hole-ing”
They got the problem wrong too.

Why can’t they just hire an expert on firearms to help?

Ah yes, the channel that ranked the QBZ-95 3rd in it's rifle ranking video three weeks ago is now calling it unreliable Chinese scrap. The detetioration of this channel's quality is laughable.

I cringe every time you say AR15 instead of M16 or M4. No military has ever used an AR15

Bro you arent a gun channel, let other channels do the analysis on niche topics, this video plus its animations proves your team knows little about guns. Pretty embarrassing

Just a reminder: It's actually a *BAD* thing for a weapon to have unique ammo that 1) only it can use, and 2) that the weapon can only use that ammo.

Regarding the keyhole video: During the "keyhole" video, we can see brass shell being ejected. Every 5.8X42 steel core ammo are steel-shell with green paint over, there are only two 5.8 caliber bullets that we know are brass-shelled, being the rubber head training ammo and blanks.
Regarding the actual mechanic: Cabbage did three hour-long video on QBZ-191, with publicly avaliable footage and patent information, we see that QBZ191 largely bases its design off of HK416 with an AK fire control group, however the bolt design deviates from traditional AR design in that it has a re-designed cam grove to prevent friction with walls of rifle upper while allowing pre-extraction, softening the extraction. The multi-chamber gas block introduces softer kick and lessens corrosion. There is even an build-in round counter in the weapon that informs the user when the weapon should be taken to the armory to be maintained. The design of this weapon does indeed improve on the AR design, at least on paper. The changes made to the rifle does not show that china "gives up innovation", it shows a design team throwing propganda value away, and designing a weapon solely based on required parameteres for efficiency, in an age where small weapon design has largely plateaued.
regarding phase out of new rifles: The change does not happen instantanously. Existing troops will still be issued their qbz 95s, while new soldiers will be given qbz 191 to train on. the replacement will potentially take decades.

In conclusion: This video is a disgrace to the channel's goal of providing accurate knowledge, delving into basic anti-chinese retorhic without regard for easily gathered factual informaiton.

Jeez. The animators tried their best, but it's apparent they don't know what they're talking about

As Jackie Chan famously said at the Boao Forum for Asia in 2009, "If I buy a TV set, I'll buy Japanese, because the Chinese ones will explode!"

TIS: "We don't know much about this rifle because China don't reveal anything"
Also TIS: "We can tell you 100% that this rifle is worthless because we think that will make a good video on YT"

I watched 22 minutes and still don't understand why it's a "Disaster". Does it jam often? We don't know. Is it very expensive to manufacture? We don't know. Does it have a problem with ammunition? Accessories? We don't know. Some "disaster".

I thought the QBZ-95 looked cool, until I took one apart.
It was a mess of crap underneath.

That is not what a keyhole is. Its when the bullet goes through the yarget sideways. It makes a hole like a keyhole
