Both Kate and her brother have openly said Kurt raised them and have been a real father to them... Their father did not communicate with them when they were children. So Kurt is their father.

Or he if falls into some sort of financial hardship in the future, suddenly Kate Hudson will be "his daughter" again while he's telling the world how "his daughter" has so much money yet he's still broke.😐

He would say that Hudson is their Father. He didn’t take the credit.

Goldie and the kids would praise him for all he did.
And even today Kurt has not bashed him.

Kurt did a great job in keeping those kids grounded.
They turned out well.

That to me is Kurts response.
Despite it all, Hudson can’t say the kids turned out well because of him.
It’s all Kurts doing.
Hudson knows this.
Which is why, I think, He said they are dead to him.

Kurt did something he could not.
