so, considering that it's the best line in real world use that I have ever fished. I'm not jigging pelagics with it, far from it, as it been used in relatively open water conditions in freshwater for basses. I'm still using the first spool a subscriber sent me years ago, and it's remained remarkably unchanged in both appearance and performance. WOW!

Je viens de recevoir la tresse.
J'ai fait une sortie en mer pendant 4h. mais en rentrant j'ai quand même décidé de faire un test de résistance avec un peson de manière grossière, ma PE1 23lb a cassée à 5, 5kg/12, 125lb sur un FG. C'est plutôt une bonne valeur pour une résistance au noeud, sachant que c'est un test vulgaire.
Temps donnée pour arriver à la rupture : 5 secondes donc rapide.
PS : je croyais que c'était la PE1 que tu avais testé

I use the 40.1 pound on my texas rig and jig rods. I have zero complaints on performance. Price is a different story, but it does last loooong time. It is super thin, so go by diameter and not the printer break strength.
I use this 20 pound gosen on one of my spinning rods. It cast like a dream and never get wind knots, so far.
In both uses, I take a black marker to the last 15 or 20 feet of the line to make it blend in better in the water. I will say, the hi-viz green is very nice for worm and jig fishing as you can watch the line for strikes and not have to feel them. This keeps the finicky fish from spitting the worm out when they feel you, seeing the line move and then setting the hook has proven for me to result in more hook-ups. Some days though when the bite is strong and aggressive, I dont have to watch the line because they are not being finicky when I feel them/they feel me.

It's surprising that you don't have a review of the "YGK Xbraid" brand. It is one of the most reputable brands and has some really famous models such as the "X8 Upgrade" and the "X8 FullDrag".

Never used anything besides Sufix 831 and no issues thus far for the need to change. Wondering if I should give some of these a try though now 😅

I don't think you'll see this comment...
There's an issue with the FG knot (not in terms of quality, as it looks great and is well tied), but once the weaving is finished, how do you lock it?
Do you make a loop with the nylon to secure it?
I know this method: at the end, some people make a half hitch with the nylon, which then reverses onto the braid to lock the knot.
After that, they finish with more half hitches.
The problem is that this technique makes the knot brittle because it forms on the main line, whereas the principle of the FG knot is precisely to avoid any knot on the main line. This weakens the FG knot.
Normally, an FG knot should retain at least 70% of its strength, even with fragile braids.

Something smells fishy ... I need to see a close up of the FG breaks, Is the Gosen failing or is the leader? Is the knot slipping off? I use this line and if I have a leader break the knots are still intact and the leader is normally missing. This stuff is slick and if you don't properly prep the leader the knot will slip right off the end of it.

I don't understand how can it be this bad.
Sees like a vanity buy. Most raving real world experience could juat be placebo. Very strange 🤔
It looks like a 10lb line with 0.20mm thickness that has casting in its name but is not thin as a 10lb line
