@camaroee Hey Mechanical Engineer at MachineWise here. FYI the washers are Hardened stainless steel 59-60 HRC. They are actually harder than the bushing we use in our balisongs. This means that when you torque the pivots you are actually deforming the bushing instead of the washers. Theoretically a set of washers should last you several years. In fact Deylan's Serif has been on the same tune for 3 years with no changes and it is still rock solid!

Also our assembler William is nuts!

If you want it to be even more neutral try out a Serif or Opus blade in the handles. These blades are slightly heavier and will give you an even more neutral feel.

We really appreciate you thoughts on this knife! Also looking foward to your thoughts on the Glitch Laser finish that was a test I was doing and am not 100% sure on.

I just copped the Prysma V2 in green and I am very excited, it arrives tomorrow. I don't see really any reviews on it yet and especially considering your opinion on the Prysma V1 and the update in your last video I hope you make a vid about it soon enough! I just got into balisongs a couple weeks ago but am practicing daily and really enjoy it.

this was my experience with the zzyzx recently which has made it become one of my most favorite knives of all time. I've debated making it my beater in my head which usually i dont beat my knives I'm a pretty extreme safe queen. so when I thought about making it my beater I thought I was going nuts and I have carried it around with me before. if your telling me to try the slifT v2 at least once I can tell you love it, but I also urge you to try the zzyzx at least once, not saying your gonna love it but from the description of the slift I feel its relatively similar with a couple of key differences and ill also oblige and try the slifT v2. im ngl i dont remember but i didnt really like the slift v1.

I wasn't a huge fan of the slift. Never took the weights out because they were anoed so pretty and I didn't want to mess them up for the next owner. You kind of make me want to try another one with the weights out. (laughs)
