A Mind Bending Philosophy Book

This was one of the most thought provoking, world view changing books I’ve read in a while

It’s basically an extended attack on Humanism, the idea that humans are rational, self-directing creatures who are special and different from animals

It covers topics like why progress isn’t real, why science is a form of faith, why the self is an illusion and why we’re secretly terrified we’re useless.

It might just break your brain a little, and the book is Straw Dogs by John Gray
