Kind of reminds me from Web of Shadows where in the Symbiote Black Cat level if you fail to save MJ, she'll be consumed by symbiotes in such a gruesome like matter. (from the looks of it in the game, it looks like she's getting eaten alive.)

Wasn't Peter asleep during this section? That's a classic black suit storybeat, you know -- the symbiote takes Peter's body out for a joyride in the night and gets up to all sorts of mischief and when Peter finds out the next morning, he isn't nearly as alarmed as he should be.
