Share an experience here and look for suggestions. I am recently interviewing a big company. The 1st round is recruiter, 2nd round is hiring manager, 3th round is the hiring manager 's peer; the 4th round is hiring manager's boss. These technical rounds went well, especially for my manager's boss, she seemed really excited about my joining and share the timeline about on broad and training. After that, I received an email saying I was moved to the HR director. I thought the HR director is going to talk about an offer. But it was not, it is just an extra round of interview. She said she has a psychology degree. Our conversation was short like 15 min earlier than the 30min as expected. Some conversations about training and career development goals. My question is what is the point of this HR director interview? She is just coming for blessing before passing recruiter make an offer, or her opinions matter for the picking the candidates? I have never heard about the need to meet HR manager during the interview process. My impression was that the candidates were decided by the technical group. Maybe I am wrong... but this HR director interview made me super nervous...

You were on point but I want to add my experience, so I passed two technical interviews and then the final interview was with HR, that surprised me a more and well I believe that they wanted to know more about something that bothered then but after talking about it they proceeded with the interview just as a regular HR interview so I am not sure what to think about. I have to say that it was very frustating because I felt that I performed very well but I was not happy at all with the way that they ask all of those generic questions, this was the last interview and I expected from them to sell me the job but I felt that it was a waste of time dealing with those generic questions, I dont get why they left that untill the end, I spent a couple of hours on the technical interviews and this final interview it was not a good experience
