So many people know about TMS, but there is often confusion as to whether or not what they have going on is really TMS.

God bless you!! Been dealing with sciatica and buldging disc and I had an mri that showed my buldge is not touching any nerves yet I’m having nerve symptoms!!! I’m 30 years old with anxiety and have battled depression. You have helped me more than any doctor. I can’t wait to practice your approach and get to feeling better. Thank you so much

The stretches and movement and yoga I like because it’s relaxing. It’s a way to deal with stress in my life. This thought process allows me to create new neural pathways around movement.

I just came across your channel. YouTube algorithm suggested your video. You make the most sense out of all the stuff I've looked up. I was working 3 jobs, being a dad to 3 young kids and covid made my wife loose her job. I took a sudafed PE and caused a panic attack for 3 hours. After that, aches and pains started happening all over my body talked to my primary doctor and was diagnosed with anxiety. She said anxiety causes physical pain to me and the pain causes anxiety. So it's a revolving door of misery. I've seen a cardiologist, neurologist, gastroenterologist, obstetrician, and therapist. I've had a few things that physical therapy has helped but the chronic pain that comes and goes all around my body. With no apparent reason. Thank you very much. I didn't know TMS was a thing, was never mentioned by my care team. I have a game plan now after struggling for 6 months. But I'm sure I've had symptoms a lot longer, the mental switch just was not turned on back then.

Why do we see some people who seem like their life is turned upside down who drink, smoke, do drugs, eat unhealthy, have obvious emotional pain they are covering up, yet they dont manifest these types of symptoms? How come they are able to get to work and do exercise etc? I eat healthy, drink enough water, get enough sleep, am completely sober, I try to get some form of low impact physical movement, take vitamins and supplements and have been in therapy for 4 years and still experience challenging symptoms. They keep moving around in like 2month-1 year increments. Im glad for what I am learning along the process, but it doesnt seem fair or logical.

I'm 28 and have been dealing with prehypertension.

It seems to come and go, it gets better, then worse, then better again and sometimes in the span of a day.

Louise Hay's literature points to long standing unresolved emotional issues as the cause for hypertension in general and digging from there I found this.

I'm happy and hopeful to find some clues.

Stay strong everybody :)

I am inclined to believe 95% of ALL symptoms are TMS. This shit goes deep.

Dizziness, low blood pressure, low blood sugar, low cortisol, hypoglycemia, weak, braing fog, weird vision, reflux, insomnia, muscle pain, stiff joints and tendon, exercise intolerance and many other what I got during too much stress for many years. Some days are without it and I feel like wow, how in just one day all these symptoms gone and back one day after. This is insane how body can behave when is stressed, it can simulates all illness to be honest

I just found your channel through dr.Yonit Arthur (the steady coach) because I’ve been struggling with dizziness and other unexplained symptoms yet I’ve been given diagnosis that always seem not right to me or that doctor isn’t sure about. Aches and pains is one things I’ve been dealing with around the same time my dizziness started. I feel so much relief after watching this video. I cannot wait to continue to watch your videos and learn from them. Dr.Yonit Arthur has helped me so much with my dizziness I can’t even imagine how much better I’m going to feel after i learn to manage the pain. Thank you!

What do you think about diets? When I was a raw eater, I never had pain in my body. Thanks for all your good information!

Hi Dan. Fantastic video, thank you. I believe that TMS could well be causing my chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) / Prostatitis... I have no signs of anything physically wrong at all. After multiple scans MRI and CT scans, no infections found, physiotherapy etc. I'm told that it could be caused by stress. I get tender and painful muscles in my buttocks and hamstrings and urinary type pain and pain in my prostate area/pelvic floor as well. Sometimes pain in my calf muscles and arms too. Have you ever known anyone with Prostatitis/ Pelvic pain symptoms caused by TMS? Thank you for your time.

I have just finished Dr Sarno's book on Healing Back Pain. It caused a lot of conflict in me but also opened my mind to the whole concept of TMS. I have started work on releasing repressed emotion but not seeing any changes yet physically. I suffer from severe fibromyalgia, which Dr Sarno says is TMS, but I have this from prolonged black mold exposure and all my sinus and lung meridians get affected. Wireless frequencies like mobile phones, wi-fi etc trigger the fibromyalgia severely and I learnt through my research over the years that when mold is exposed to EMF it grows uncontrollably and releases 600 times more mycotoxins. Is this classified more as poison exposure or should I view this as a manifestation of TMS? It's very confusing.

I believe that as long as it helps or heals then we do not have to worry about the labels because there is a large gray area and so much we are yet to discover. Maybe some people have a little bit of TMS and a little bit of injury related issues but they are both playing off one another. I believe this is what I have. My 20+ year old injury, has, I believe, emotional trauma locked into my cell memory and is manifesting in a TMS kind of way.
We can make up our own labels if we so choose, the main goal is to get rid of the discomfort. I love the TMS CONCEPT and learning about it has helped me but it is very similar to psycho somatic pain, which predates the idea. Love your video!!!! Nice conversational tone and warm demeanor.

I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW IF ANYONE IS AWARE OF A SUMMARY OF DR. Sarno's book on TMS.

Hi Dan

I recently learnt about TMS and I think I’m going through it. Most of what you explained about TMS it made sense on what I was going through. Whenever I think about the symptom, the feeling I am feeling physically I am feeling it. Im distracted from everything else including my emotions right now as I am writing this I’m in pain (it’s going back and fourth since I’m focusing writing this) I also notice when I’m happy (around family, friends etc.) I don’t feel it.

I am a overthinker and stress out a lot. This pain came about a few days before school began so I was stressing about it a lot. I also try to repress my emotions a lot, I don’t like dumping/venting out all my trauma onto someone so I keep it inside, I hate feeling sadness so I try to ignore all my emotions

Do you believe this could be TMS? Thank you

I've had shoulder aches/pain since I was about 24 and 5 years later have only just begun seeking medical help since it hasn't improved. Bloods are pointing towards something autoimmune and most likely myositis at the moment. Looking back, I have always had strange manifestations of stress (I have a pretty low tolerance for stress). During my final year of university the pressure was high and I developed an invisible full body itch- no rash or other symptoms just relentless itchy skin which ended up subsiding once I had graduated. Years later and I'm working in a job and develop shoulder/neck aches and pain. Whether it's replying to mundane emails, trying to push through a task I'm not interested in or that's causing me stress my shoulder flares up like a distraction. Some days it's not there at all. Not sure if anyone else can relate to this but I am also recently becoming aware that I may have had ADHD my entire life and may also be on the autism spectrum. Apparently chronic pain is fairly common if you're neurodivergent which is pretty interesting- I wonder if it's due to the lack of support/understanding experienced throughout life which inevitably shows up as trauma and stress in the body. Great video, thank you <3

Hey Dan! I came across the subject today and did some research. I have a question...Often TmS is desribed in manifesting as mainly back/shoulder pain. But after your description i am wondering if my problem could be TMS too. I am suffering from ideopathic persistent facial pain (atypical facial pain named before) since ca. 6 years now and its getting worse. l did a lot of natural therapy, nothing worked. I always wanted to avoid the recommend chemical medication. But 4 months ago I felt so desperated, I finally gave it a try. Unfortunetly also without any success yet.
So, if i understand your definition of TMS right, Then it might be helpful for me if i go deeper into the topic....? Did you ever heard about people with similar diagnosis finding relief through TMS Praxis? An advice would be nice :) Sorry for any english mistakes...;)
Greetings from Berlin🌞Kirstin

I also have to ask—once we believe we are safe, do we carefully reintroduce old habits, or resume to life completely?
I have such a restricted life now that I eat the same few things every day, walk in a lot of the same places, don't work, don't drive, don't see anybody, don't go anywhere in public, can't visit my parents 1000 miles away, etc. And I fear that certain foods could set me back because of things people have told me about benzo withdrawal (which I have been in, or perhaps "believed" I am still in).

It seems very painfully slow to try to reintroduce every little thing, but I also worry about the idea of setbacks from taking on too much. Wondering how careful I should be with something like this?

Thank you, Dan.
