Course description
--------------------------------

Bayesian data analysis is an approach to statistical modeling and machine learning that is becoming more and more popular. It provides a uniform framework to build problem specific models that can be used for both statistical inference and for prediction. This course will introduce you to Bayesian data analysis: What it is, how it works, and why it is a useful tool to have in your data science toolbox.

I am so fond of your videos. Making things easier to digest

Hi Rasmus, when you refer to solving the enigma machine you have to mention the Polish mathematicians who have provided the solution for three rotors enigma machine using “bomba”

Hi Rasmus, for those previous lectures done by your collegues (I assume), could you please upload the slides as well? It was so informative but due to the angle of the camera recording the lectures from the side view, it was hard to see the slides! Btw Thank you for your great wok!

You were born to be a teacher bro. Great video, congrats. Do you know if there is a paper about bayesian application to IBNR reserves?

Hi, Rasmus! Thank you so much.

I have some doubts about the examples of ads used in the course. In your ads example everyone had the same number of ads shows. If we have to compare two ads with different number of ad shows and different proportion clicks, for example, one ad has 20, 000 ad shows and the other has each with a proportion click, what are the steps to compare? How big should the sample be?

Hi Rasmus I am interested in making predictive models for football (and other sports) and I was thinking of doing this with bayesian data analysis. I have already taken your datacamp course (which was great), but i want to delve deeper into the topic. I have narrowed down my search to two books: Doing Bayesian data analysis by John K. Kruschke and Statistical rethinking by Richard McElreath. Which one would you recommend?

unfortunately, this course requires a subscription nowadays

Dear Rasmus, are you the one of Turing cultists? Please mind that British themselves didn't break the Enigma code. They were given most of the information about the machine by Polish mathematicians. Im sorry to see all this Turing-Enigma propaganda being so successful
