Paris 2024 is promoted as #GenderEqualOlympics, but while Muslim women all over the world can compete wearing headscarves, French women are barred.

What is the differences between French Govt and Taliban whom forbid the girls who do not wear hijab to go to school then? Both are the same. They taken the right of the women to choose what they want to wear. The difference is just Taliban forced them to covered it when French Govt forced them to taken off their covered hair. Funny if a Muslim country said no bikini for Muslim female swimmers then that country would be stripped out of hosting Olympics by Olympic committee, let alone a Muslim country be given chance to host one in first place to begin with

This is counterintuitive. We should support progressive Islam, not punish it. Muslim women participating in sports is progressive. It is not radical or fundamentalist. Which is what they base their argument on. Hypocrisy.

Each country has their own rules when in Qatar they had given list of rules not only for players but also for guest and foreigners .I didn’t see anyone complaining about it.
