You have likely seen some of these pictures before, so here's an opportunity to learn their meanings and origins. Small tip! No hate at all. A pentagram with a circle around it is called a pentacle, a pentagram without a circle is called a pentagram 🥰

Yes, the ankh symbol was the key of life! It was believed that the holder of this symbol had the power to give as well as take life. Pharaohs were often seen holding this. It's really feels amazing studying all these ancient Signs and symblos and finding out the stories and real mysteries behind them!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I used to draw/doodle this triskelion a lot as a child and into my youth without knowing it's meaning

Both spirals and triskelions were used heavily on Celtic warrior shields and on bodies as tattoos. I'm a Celt nerd, but never knew the meanings behind the symbols you see on depictions of Celtic warriors, mostly in Britannia in the days of Julius Caesar, but now it makes a lot of sense, especially the spiral. The Celts believed in reincarnation, and spirals on their war gear/bodies indicates a religious aspect, as protection and a hope of being reincarnated after being killed in battle. This fact is probably why they were so fierce and wild-like in battle (even the Roman legions feared them, at first anyway) because they believed they would be reincarnated so there should be no fear of death. Great video!🙂👍

Many of these symbols are not JUST used by Wiccans and other pagans. Many are also used in other forms of Ceremonial Magick, which are frequently mono-theistic, or even Trinitarian Christians.

Hecate does not rule the underworld Hades does but Hecate is a titan and is the Goddess of the cross roads so she can travel to the underworld freely

Hi! Super glad you're making this! While i personally do not practice wicca (rather eclectic paganism), i do respect it.
But, i do have a bit of a problem with you reffering to these as specifically wiccan symbols and traditions, since they come from older paganism:). Just a recommendation!

I'm not completely sure but I think Wiccans refer to the "pentagram" as a pentacle.

I'm watching this because I had a dream last night that I had sigils growing down my arms. Not inked but branded one under the other down to my middle finger. Can't find the symbols but in my dream I felt proud to wear and display them. I woke feeling good.

Triskelion was used by Slavs too. It symbolized 3 by 3: 3 elements (water, fire, air), 3 domains (land, nature, underworld) and 3 realms (Jawia - realm of mortals, Prawia - realm of gods, Nawia - realm of souls)

The Pentagram was the first Christian symbol. The pentagram was associated with the five wounds of Christ, and because it could be drawn in one continuous movement of the pen, the Alpha and the Omega as one. Ancient Churches in Bethlehem have been unearthed with the Pentagram as the first known users

Runes are a language made from a smaller base of symbols. Legend says that the original 6 runes would appear when the sun would shine through a crystal, at a certain angle.

Pentacle symbolism

Though many symbols could be mentioned in a list of significance for me, the Pentacle is the symbol held in my highest regard. It represents the manifesting and creative power we all hold. For me it is strongly linked to the tarot, specifically the Magician card, sometimes referred to as the Alchemist.

The four elements of creation are ever present. Standing amid these is me (each of us has birthright ownership of that statement).

In the Pentacle, the topmost point represents Spirit or consciousness ... My conscious. The significance of this positioning is that it resides above all other elements. It is a vantage point of higher perspective as well as representing an authoritative command. It translates to perfect sovereignty as well as to perfect responsibility.

On the Tarot card mentioned, typically is found ∞, symbol of infinity, above the magician's head, representing the infinite nature of our spirit and consciousness and the nature of our ability of thought. There is absolutely nothing which cannot be conceptualized.

The left upper point of the pentacle acknowledges this conception. It represents the element of Air. It encompasses thought and mental process. It reminds me how focus and nurturing these thoughts SELECTIVELY I decide both the direction of my life and what it includes and that which it does not. These are inspired by my interaction with others and real-world experiences and at times by intuitive or divine suggestion. I emphasized the word selectively for purpose of differentiating between organized though conscious attention and the otherwise random thoughts that fill the mind, aware of them or not.

The right upper point highlights the emotions that rise triggered by the thoughts or ideas conceived by or solicited unto me. It represents the element of Water.

These triggers (thoughts and ideas) are either of a positive attractant nature or they are deterrent, directing me either towards or away from various aspects and possibilities. These triggers are and to the degree of which, positive or negative largely if not entirely by the defining thoughts about a situation, event, observed action or another thought and definition.

I am reminded that engagement in which of these thoughts builds energy that equates to the overall positive or negative outlook I hold on life and all of existence. It determines optimism or pessimism, futility or promise.

To what depth of evaluating these (and which) emotions that I am willing to explore is the only limit of my understanding of the idea that triggered and the why of to-what-degree I am triggered. It is also the depth of which I am willing to observe myself lending to the understanding of and knowing myself. It is where and by which I assess the philosophy I hold concerning all of existence and tailor it to my being.

It is here through observing contrasts of emotions that I find my authenticity.

Here is where I, through compassion, realize what once fit may no longer fit. Unaccusingly, and thus unashamedly, I observe the growth of my being.

It is this philosophy that is my guide by which I govern my life and the decisions I make. It suggests the direction of where I employ the creative force I control.

The more I entertain the varying ideas, be they magnanimous or trivial, the more energy I well and amass for use of creation. This is my motivation. It is, in essence, the fuel that drives me.

The lower right point of the pentacle is Fire. It is ever present and so long as shall live this fire is within me. It's been called the spark of life.

This fire ignites the fuel I have amassed through experiencing my emotions and releases the energy for its purpose. The burning of a fuel causes an expansion in some way. We call it a force. I know that the ignition is beyond my control and that the only way to control the fire ... that will burn ... and what sort of fire it will be, is to control my emotion (Water), thus, controlling characteristic of the fuel and the energy it contains, and resultantly, the force (Fire). Controlling my emotion is only achieved by selectively dwelling and focusing on the thoughts ... a mental process (Air)

Deliberate creation and dissolution are the results of deliberately controlling the creation and employing of force. I understand that the deep well of energy contained within my being will, if not employed and directed, commingle with other energies inspired by other ideas ... distractions ... resulting in chaos.

Another aspect I am reminded of is the law of entropy which is ultimately the gradual decay of ordered creation, which in turn yields chaos as the result and that the only avoidance of this default result is my active involvement of the orderly creation.

A thought about chaos: It is chaos which holds every potential as nothing is certain and everything is possible.

At the lower and left position of the Pentacle is Earth. This is the tangible including the intangible tangible. Any form of creation is found here, including the other four points of the pentacle and the pentacle itself. Anything to which I can state, "I (don't) have ...", is in the realm of this element.

This is the realm of my reality. It is the experience I am creating, as opposed to subjected to.

Here is where I find the triggers which are, again, the thoughts and ideas (Air) that all give rise to the emotions (Water) and subsequent passions (Fire) that prompt me into my created reality (Earth).

This is an endless cycle that was before my birth and will continue infinitely after my death. It is an ever-expanding inward spiral I travel. As I grow and expand myself, I am moving closer to the center for new lessons, new knowledge and new understandings. With these in each new experience I gain greater wisdom in the complicities of life, the universe and more importantly, myself, only to find simplicity always was.

Seemingly paradoxically, as Spirit resides atop the Pentacle, I am both inside the Circle of Elements present in the creation and outside the Circle observing. None of it is in reality happening to me. I am the unaffected observer, taking notes and expanding my consciousness, experiencing life just as entwined as if watching a gripping movie or reading a thrilling romantic comedic drama, though in the paradox, the outcome is influenced by me.

As Spirit I am also eternal and also a part of the whole. As its said, I am the drop in the ocean as well as the entire ocean within he drop, eluding to the greater and collective consciousness. All that I observe and all that I direct to create will continue on affecting and influencing the lives countless of generations to come.

As a bit of humorous self-ism, for those who subscribe to the idea of living multiple consecutive and or parallel lives, what I do for me today will continue on and reward me in another life or be waiting for my adjustment or correction. In that I must consider how I would want the evolution of the planet to unfold. It will be my next experience.

My grandmother had a pendant never seen elsewhere.

A rounded triangle like a piece of eggshell.
Inside there was a symbol, 3 V rounded pointed towards the center but exceeding it by overlapping.

I've been researching its meaning since a long time.
