Is the cross a symbol of Christianity? IS THE CROSS PAGAN?

The symbol of the cross became identified with Christianity only through the catholic church and not from the Holy Scriptures not from Jesus/Yeshua or even the Apostles.

From what I've been researching for the last couple of years, I am convinced that the cross symbol is the "mark of the beast" mentioned in Revelation. Sunday worship, the cross symbol, Christmas, and Easter are all rooted in paganism and are historically associated with sun worship and fertility rituals. I hope that God's Spirit will allow believers to awaken to/return to the truth of the Holy Scriptures and follow Yeshua the Messiah and His message in the Torah and New Testament.

this is just my personal belief. take of it what you will. the cross in some of my studies is sometimes used to represent the point of where time and space intersect. the center is where obliteration occurs. symbollically of course. this is why i cannot stand to see why Jesus is in that spot. secondly if I cant find anything truly saying Jesus was hung on a cross. only a tree.

The cross was meaningless until Jesus died on it. Without His resurrection it would still be meaningless- but because of His resurrection, it has become a symbol of hope, faith and how much God loves us.

There is nothing wrong in having symbols since its intent is to pass a message. The problem is y'all love to interpret things from a modern lens and then to defame it, u quickly associate it to pagan. Our Lord suffered and died on a Cross (clearly this was part of His plan to do so). I wear my crucifix with pride and kiss it to remind myself of His sacrifice for all mankind.
