Why the new channel and why not promote it on the other channel? I happen across it in the suggested queue which was great, . it I should imagine all VO2 subscribers would be keen. Thanks for all the videos - informative and motivating.

Not gonna lie that opening shot was poetic.

Great video, but I still don’t understand the midfoot strike. Am I literally supposed to put my foot straight down onto the surface? That feels like an ankle problem waiting to happen because there doesn’t appear to be any shock absorption under foot. In a toe strike, you have a built in shock absorber; in a heel strike, your weight isn’t usually bearing straight down because it’s in front of your mass. But in the mid foot strike, your foot is directly underneath your mass, with a vertical motion to smash your foot down into the tarmac. What am I missing here?

Great tips for proper foot strike. I'm hoping changing my form will help with injuries. One question on this topic. What shoes would you recommend for proper foot strike?

Have you ever experienced numbness between the balls of your feet and big toes from running?
What did you do to treat it? How long does it take to heal?

I think running too hard down inclines for a few days is what caused it for me. Thank you for any ideas.

Have you heard about the Pose method? Is it compatible with the "brushing the ground" strike?

Just watch any top class track meet. You only get that good w a natural tendency to produce good running form (race horse plough horse).... and as you watch the middle distance runners...most have same form and see for yourself if any land heel first!

In the video you showed of your vo2max test it looked like u were landing on ur heels maybe it was because of the incline idk but when I paused it it looked like ur heel was landing first. Thoughts?

I feel like I am too heavy for proper forefoot running or not enough leg power. Is that possible?

It’s absolutely impossible to land under your COG!

Interesting thought. "Any surface, any distance". Let's see Sage run on ice. And not break the ice? How about an ice skating ring marathon?

Haha! I’d like to see someone run who lands on their foot when it’s NOT in front of their body.

simple thing to do is this...….run barefoot and see what happens. think about where you land and also in relation to COM.   put your feet down and use your hip extensors for gods sake. weve been born with this ability, its BS drills and crap footwear which lead to heel striking which is another topic
