I've read Cloud Cuckoo Land in the beginning of 2022 and I've been enchanted! Some parts are gruesome and heartbreaking but the story stayed with me throughout this year and it's one of my top faves ever! I really hope you enjoy it <3

Trust me, when you finish Hobb’s books they have such brilliant reread value. You’re going to adore Fitz and Fool!!!

I also have Fevered Star on my to be read pile and while I intended to get to it in 2022, I forgot how busy December gets and so I didn’t quite pick it up. 2023 it is!

I had some conflicting feelings about Cloud Cuckoo Land. It is so intensely complex there are seven different storylines and it has so many themes it was at times hard to stay interested. But on the other hand it made me feel a lot of things doesn’t always happen for me. One of the things was anxiety though so you might want to make sure you’re in a good headspace before picking it up.

I actually just finished re-reading Cloud Cuckoo Land! I call it my "other favorite book" (All the Light We Cannot See is also my fave lol) and I just love his writing and attention to details and it's just incredible! I can't even form proper thoughts about it, I just love it so so much! I hope that you get to it soon and enjoy it!

I read the Riyria Chronicles because you talked about it yeara ago. I did not remembered that you was not obsessed with it as I am. So that is why I am happy to hear that you like The Legends of the First Empire even more. So I have high hopes for it. Probably I am going to start this series next year ☺️

I got Assasin’s Apprentice as a christmas gift so The Farseer trilogy is definently on my 2023 tbr! I also want to read Mistborn trilogy, Black Dagger Brotherhood, more Jane Austen and Bronte sisters, Sorcery of Thornes and Moon Called, to name a few 🤩

I have to read my entire physical TBR by October of next year. 😱 Here is to hoping I can do that. I have at least a good 30-40 books to read.

I am nearly caught up with the Shadowhunter Chronicles series, but I didn't quite finish it this year, so it's a priority for January (hopefully before the new one comes out). I also need to get back to reading the Valdemar Chronicles. I want to read Flowers by Night (takes place in Japan), and I also want to try and get back into studying Japanese, so I have some Japanese books I want to read. And there are a number of new releases I want to read in 2023, but I hope to just make a dent in my overall physical and Kindle TBR.

I love Cloud Cuckoo Land! Make sure to also read his author note at the end where he shares his research and inspiration for that incredible story.
That’s a book that will stay with me for years 💕💕
Also I have to mention Exit West. That is one of the oddest books I’ve read. I listened to an audio version on a road-trip. It’s a novel that is fascinating but also gets really weird and changes pace. can’t wait to see your reaction to it. It’s not bad, just different but it does contain some very beautiful moments that stand out.

The expense series is one of my favorite series, I love it so much ! I‘m currently reading book 4 ❤
