The Mystery of the 2022 Orbea Occam LT

The Occam is a 150/150mm travel trail bike, rolling on 29” wheels, and has a little shorter, steeper geometry than many other bikes that feature similar amounts of travel. The result? Well, watch the video, but I liked it! It works really well on tighter, more natural trails.

I have the 140 occam, perfect for Minnesota keeps the boring terrain interesting and can handle the double black at Duluth. I have also found this bike is amazing for manuals on trail. It’s a lot of fun to see you make a review with my same bike and a very similar riding style.

Glad you enjoyed the new Occam! We haven't had the chance to ride it yet, but our guess at its ride characteristics look to match up with your review. Orbea just made the quintessential trail bike even better. Can't wait to see your thought on the Rallon!

Thanks for the video. I ended up buying an Occam 2020 after your reviews, and obviously testing it myself, lol. I love that you provide a general comparison against other bikes and a general overview on quality. We do not have chance to test material as you do, getting that feeling from people like you will help us. If the bike is playful or similar, it is not that important, I cannot even manual in a bmx. How confortable it rides in even, uphill and downhill, performance of the frame, stock wheels and tyres for example, thats very important for a buyer

Grabbed my H20 LT (150/150) from Jenson (thanks Scott) in preparation for the 2024 season. The thing is a beauty. Im in the Midwest so I don't believe ill need an enduro bike for the time being. Cant wait to take it out and see how it does.

Jeff you should test the new Rallon to compare it a bit on climbs descends...and with other enduro-trail contenders

will be great

I have been on a 2021 Occam with a Fox 150 for a year, such a killer bike! I have a 2022 on order but with a DPXII air rear shock. I do think the longer stroke shock might be a bit better for bigger guys. I would agree on the bike and handling, that is what makes it so awesome. Great for central Texas tight rocky and technical trails and I have taken it to Angel Fire doing DH, Sedona and Bentonville. If want a "capable" bike that is still a lot of fun and nimble check it out. I got mine from Wes at Velorangutan in Austin, he ships everywhere and orders his stock bikes in the custom colors... very cool and a great guy to work with.

Hi Jeff, I’m in the process of buying the 2022 m10 lt and I’m interested in knowing if you ever did fit the rear shock offset bushing? Keep up the awesome videos. 👍👍

I was absolutely in love with my 2016 Occam AM M-Ltd (140/140). Until the Seat Stay cracked. The biggest Orbea Fanboy in the midwest had to fight for 9 months to get it warrantied.

Trying to pick my next bike, occam m10 LT, specialized stumpjumper expert, or Santa Cruz Hightower. I ride mostly in Texas with the occasional NWA trip.

Follow up Review please!!! Excited to hear your thoughts after putting in some time on it. The rear coil and overall changes from going from the 140 travel bike to the LT. And I want to watch you do more amazing wheelies and amazing riding style.
