I had to pause the video and say, that angle grinder in the vise was an awesome bit of advice for someone that doesn't have a belt sander/grinder.

That hilbilly jig is the best thing I think I've seen. Would also work for guided apex bevel sharpening with a stone, too, with a less agressive clamp method.

Great video man. Fantastic tips. I always tell my Son, the sign of a great craftsman, mechanic, handyman etc. It’s not what’s in his toolbox. It’s is the problem solving, to come up with a solution with tools you have on had. A creative mind is the best tool.
Keep up the fantastic work. Looking forward to your next project.

Love this!! I just started the journey to become a knife maker. For nothing more than the satisfaction of making something all my own. Just built a 2x72 and I’m now practicing. I look forward to finishing something. Thanks for the inspiration!!! I subbed!!

Alright this was the best instructional video for people to get started I’ve seen. Thanks for your time in filming this one. I’ve been working through issues I’ve had with really cheap equipment like a 1x30 and your tips with the angle grinder and beveling jig set up are coming in clutch.

Hand builds are always good to see, many people go for something much simpler, I think this is better myself, not to complex but enough to make it a challenge and interesting.

I subbed. I love this as I’m looking to give this a try. They fact that you leave the mistakes in the video is the best part to help guys like me troubleshoot and fix it.
