With reference to Amazon KDP, it is not only for low content books, Mid and High content books sell very well on KDP. Mid content covers colouring books etc. and High content is for novels, reference books etc. I published a simple cookbook on KDP over 6 years ago and almost every month Amazon pays me royalties from the book sales. A final point, Amazon no longer gives publishers free ISBN numbers on _low_ _content books_, so unless you buy your own ISBN (not cheap!) then you cannot get your KDP books on the expanded distribution programme.

I only have 200 books on KDP but stumbled on a great niche which has high demand on a
some titles with little or no competition. I’m a graphic designer and painter (and an English major) and feel that i hold my own on covers, interiors and lengthy detailed descriptions. My first year, from July 2021, sold very little . Tried kids and adult activities, every genre suggested by You Tube gurus. I’d suggest if you can, research a niche with an unexplored demand . Takes time but it can really work. I used Publisher Rocket a lot at the start.
Some experts have said it can take up to 3 years to really get consistent sales. This channel is realistic and detailed as is
Chris Raydog.
My KDP content is in the public domain, the elements of it, so there’s an occasional back and forth about public domain and copyright. If you see potential, don’t give up ! Leverage all your passions and skills .

A Pro for Zazzle is you can make designs that users can customize with their own text or photos.

The same problem with Redbubble. They have been doing random shot downs as well. Very frustrating.

I believe Redbubble owns Teepublic now also.

Why is it that very few people talk about CustomCat. Excellent prices, a great offering of products, solid integrations with Etsy and WooCommerce etc and you can manage multiple stores from on account.

Great video. Many thanks. As a beginner it can be overwhelming to choose which places to focus energy. I know POD people that upload to several places and, of course, AMZN is the clear winner. Etsy too for many genres but, there is far more work. My gf is on etsy and has been for several years. She crushed with a genre in the beginning but got caught up in copyright issues and they banned her despite complying on first request. She had to do a sneaky workaround to get back on. I've been contemplating getting started and have been gathering info for a few months to gain an understanding of each platform and what to do on each. I think I have decided and interestingly my offerings will be different across the platforms.

There is a Channel I have been following for years now called Crafty Stax, The person on that channel sounds a lot like you, and that channel is very informative so I will give this one a go.

Very informative video as always, I started on Redbubble in 2020, was so excited, made and uploaded a couple of thousand very fun and unique designs but only made a handful of sales, I guess for two reasons, I didn't do any niching down and also didn't create any social media for it. But Redbubble was a good learning experience, I got into KDP last summer and about to get into Amazon merch, with the knowledge I got from my Redbubble/Etsy/KDP experience I feel I will do well on Amazon, fingers crossed :)

Hello, This may seem like an odd question, but here goes. I create and sell graphics and sell them on Etsy. These graphics could go on a number of products, T shirts, tumblers, etc. Most POD places seem to have you create and account with them, link specific products to use your graphics, etc. Does any POD site have a generic link to their site, where someone can purchase a graphic from me, then go to the POD site and select the product that they want and I get a commission on whatever the buyers purchases an item and has it imprinted. Sorta like they buy a graphic from me and then are directed to a POD site and they buy an item to have my graphic imprinted on or maybe a number of items. Oh, and I get a commission. Sorry if I'm not real clear. Thanks for your time and attention. BTW: Really love the videos.

I uploaded two designs to T-public and got banned the next day and they did not give a specific reason why the design goes against their policy. Thanks, now I know I'm not the only one.

I also loved RB and was even making sales. until they disabled my account for no reason. I had nothing illegal, nothing with a patent. It was all right. And when you appeal, they send an email saying that they do not have time to go through all the appeals they have, so if the store stays active for the next 15 days, it has been accepted. If not, well... tough luck for you. And the money you made and haven't paid yet, you will also lose it.

I’ve been around POD for decades and pretty much agree with all your points. I’ve never tried Merch By Amazon but - and I may have misheard you in the video - if you can only upload 100 products at the highest level then that absolutely will not work for average selling items. POD is all about SCALE, as I’m sure you’re aware. Numbers are IT when it comes to the amount of items you are selling. You will never make any serious money with just 100 products - unless as you stated you get lucky with a real hit or two.
